In what division will my player play?
Beginning with the 2026/2027 season AYSO and other youth soccer organizations are changing to a more school year like age division system. Following extensive review and discussion, AYSO, US Youth Soccer, and US Club Soccer have collectively decided to move to an age group player formation cycle that runs from August 1 to July 31, starting with Membership Year 26, the 2026-27 season/registration year. This change was made based on additional critical feedback, data, and expert input to better align players with their school-grade peers. AYSO feels that this age group player formation will be the most inclusive and help increase participation.

The chart below shows which division your player will be in based on the month and year in which they were born. 7U & 8U are combined as 8U, Click to enlarge.

4U-5U | PreK Kickstart Learn More
Register separate for Fall and Spring (single season registration)
4U-Playground Girls and Boys play on Wednesday Evenings
Parent child program focus on motor skills
5U-Schoolyard Girls and Boys play and practice on Saturday mornings
4&5U is one hour - players learn to love the beautiful game playing supervised games with a trained coach and their parents that develop basic soccer skills

6U | Kindergarten Kickstart
Girls and Boys play and practice on Saturday mornings
Teams coached by trained parent volunteers
Team practice same day as game
One hour - first half is practice and second half is scrimmage

8U | 1st-2nd Grade Core
Girls and Boys play on Saturday mornings
One practice on a weekday coached by trained parent volunteers
Teams coached by trained parent volunteers
Team practice same day as game

10U & 12U 3rd-6th Grade Core
Girls teams play on Saturdays
Boys teams play on Sunday afternoon
