American Youth Soccer Organization Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.

Volunteer Information

AYSO is an all-volunteer organization, and we rely on the commitment and involvement of over 50 parent volunteers to organize, manage, coach, referee and support a top-quality soccer program for our players. We would not exist without the contributions of this great group!

Comprehensive training for all volunteers places significant emphasis on building a safe and positive playing environment, based on the AYSO philosophy. Opportunities to build and enhance coaching/refereeing/management skills are offered throughout the year at workshops and skill sessions.

Volunteer to serve as a:

  • Coach
  • VIP/Youth Buddy VIP -Very Important Players
  • Referee
  • Board Member
  • Division Manager
  • As-needed Volunteer (we'll call when we need help)
  • At-large Board member

Please consider volunteering in some way when you register. Remember, when everyone does something, no one has to do everything! To volunteer, select the appropriate options during player registration.

Thank you for volunteering to coach this year for Mundelein AYSO!!

Please note the following required meetings and classes.

If you have not already done so, please complete the following:

Step #1 - fill out a volunteer form online at LOGIN All volunteers must fill out or update a volunteer form every year. You cannot be accepted as a volunteer or take a class without an up-to-date volunteer form.

Step #2 - using your AYSO User name and password, sign up for the appropriate Coach, Concussion and Safe Haven courses online at  Click on MY Courses.  Coach course Safe Haven need only be taken once, taking Concussion course yearly is a goo idea.

You must be certified at the level at which you intend to coach.

Step #3 - If you are U10 Division or higher, you must also take a field course. Please make sure you sign the roster when you take the course. You can sign up for the course online at

You can find a course session in one of two ways: either by locating the course under the Live Courses tab or under the My Courses tab (locate the Instructor Led Courses folder).

The Live Courses tab displays upcoming courses/course sessions from different disciplines together, whereas the Instructor Led Courses folder in the My Courses tab displays each discipline and course separately so you can filter as needed. Most of it can be done online.
